Is your puppy driving you crazy sometimes?
(It's okay to admit it, the puppy blues are real...)
You love your puppy, but as you’re standing on a cold kitchen floor at 3:00 am, cleaning up another puddle, with hands covered in painful, puppy teeth-sized marks, you're wondering if you've made a massive mistake. Life with a puppy is exhausting and the internet full of conflicting advice. Just how do you get to the other side of puppyhood without losing your sanity?
My personalised 90-Day-Programme was designed with puppy owners just like you in mind.
You might be thinking
When does all this get better?
You just brought your puppy home (or they arrive soon). You want to get everything right from day one (sleeping routines, toilet training, chewing) and want to nip bad habits in the bud.
"Am I Doing This Right?"
You’re a few weeks in, and the exhaustion is hitting. The biting won't stop, they won't settle when you need to work or cook, and you're feeling overwhelmed by the daily battles.
"SOS - I've Got a Teenage Tearaway On My Hands!"
Several months in, your sweet puppy suddenly "forgot" everything. They are suddenly scared of things that never bothered them or they are lunging on the lead, barking at other dogs, playing "catch me if you can" with your TV remote, and completely ignoring your recall.
The 90 day programme is jam packed with step-by-step support, handholding and accountability to help you reduce the overwhelm and live with the puppy you thought you were getting.
If your puppy is doing any of these...
Treating your hands, shoes, table legs and everything else in sight as a chew toy. Ouch!
Barking at your desk, whining during your Zoom calls, and refusing to just lay down and settle, making working from home a struggle .
Getting the evening "zoomies", frantic biting, torn clothing, and an inability to turn their "off-switch" on when you are exhausted.
Pulling your arm out of its socket, jumping at strangers, or completely ignoring you when called.
Leaving stinky puddles (and 'presents') on your carpets.
Counter-surfing (stealing food from kitchen surfaces)
This list is not exhaustive! Whatever your puppy problem right now, I'd love to help you through it.
About

Hi,
I'm Elke and I specialise in helping puppy and adolescent dog owners like you to not only survive, but to thrive during the sometimes challenging formative early months and years, so that you can enjoy life with a happy, 'take-anywhere' dog.You will benefit from many years of practical dog training experience. Apart from running a dog training business in London, I volunteered several years as puppy trainer for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and as assistant agility instructor.
I now live in Welwyn Garden City with my 13-year-old Collie-German Shepherd cross Marty whom I adopted as a 7-month-old adolescent. Sensitive and lively, he came with a history of chewing shoes, lunging and barking at people, pulling, countersurfing and separation anxiety. He also loved playing and made the whole family laugh a lot. So I know first-hand that the joys and challenges of living with a dog can go hand in hand, and that the challenges can be overcome. It's been quite a journey, but persevering through these turbulent beginnings with Marty was 100% worth it for enjoying so many years with a wonderful companion. As I write this, he's snoozing next to me.

FAQ
.Q. Do you offer group classes or 1-to-1 home visits?
A. I offer 1-to-1, personalised coaching in your home and neighbourhood. Group dog training classes can be useful, but can also be incredibly stressful and distracting for an already overwhelmed puppy. By working 1-to-1, we solve the specific behaviours happening in your actual kitchen, garden, and local walking spots.
